Some days ago, a high-ranking official of the U.S. Defense Department asserted that "they could confirm whether the tripartite relations are placed on orbit" and he expected that "the tripartite cooperation would make bigger progress" through the meeting.

This reveals the U.S. sinister strategic intention to round off the establishment of the triangular military alliance under the pretext of the "threat" from someone and knock the "NATO of Asian version" into shape on its basis in order to contain the powers in the region and prevent its position as the "only super power in the world" from declining.

The U.S. has cried out for boosting the "triangular security cooperation" while talking about the "threat of the DPRK" before its stooges whenever an opportunity presented itself.

There is no "threat" from the DPRK in the Asia-Pacific region except for the U.S. nuclear threat, provocations and war moves against the former.

The "triangular security cooperation" is part of the U.S. moves to round off the triangular military alliance for aggression under the pretext of the "threat" from the DPRK.

The U.S. has focused its efforts on establishing the above-said alliance with Japan and south Korea for a long time.

Now that the U.S. has its alliance with Japan and south Korea each, the former seeks to conclude an agreement whereby south Korea and Japan can form a military alliance for the purpose of knocking into shape a triangular military alliance.

These days south Korea and Japan are busy discussing the issue of concluding an "agreement for protecting military intelligence," prompted by the U.S. scenario to round off the triangular military alliance by providing a legal guarantee for the military nexus between Japan and south Korea.

By putting this scenario into practice the U.S. seeks to complete the formation of the triangular military alliance and knock into shape the "NATO of Asian version" on its basis.

This is evidenced by the outbursts of U.S. high-ranking policy-makers and authorities that it is necessary to create "NATO of Asian version" with a view to holding a "leading position" in the Asia-Pacific region and to this end, it is imperative to boost military cooperation with its allies in the region and facilitate the formation of the alliance with them.

The U.S. position is rapidly declining due its excessive military spending and war moves. On the contrary, big powers in the Asia-Pacific region are making rapid progress in politics, economy and military.

Such development is not in line with the U.S. strategic purpose to maintain its position as "the world's only super power."

Feeling uneasy about it, the U.S. is working hard to knock into shape "NATO of Asian version" in order to militarily contain the potential rivals in the region and hold supremacy.

While stepping up its moves to form the triangular military alliance, pursuant to its strategy for dominating Asia-Pacific, Washington is working hard to develop the alliance into "NATO of Asian version" involving Australia and other countries in the future.

It is busy with diplomacy with those countries outside the triangular military alliance to bring them into "NATO of Asian version" and frantically stepping up the moves to tighten the U.S.-Japan-Australia and the U.S.-south Korea-Australia military alliances.

It is as clear as noonday that such moves of the U.S. for hegemony will spark off arms race, confrontation and military conflict in the Asia-Pacific region.

The international community is required to heighten vigilance against such scenario of the U.S.
