Production of Custom-built Equipment Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The Taean Heavy Machine Complex in the DPRK has made a signal progress in production of equipment needed to build power stations in tiers on the Chongchon River. According to Ryang Mun Sang, vice chief-engineer of the complex, the production of scores of sets of generating equipment goes at the finishing stage through the recent one month of concentrated efforts. In those days, the material combined workshop of the complex totally finished the manufacturing of various steel castings, including turbine blades. The speed regulator workshop carried out its production assignment 100 percent and the casting shop under the material combined workshop its plan 70 percent. Meanwhile, processing shops of the complex have over-fulfilled their plans through introduction of advanced methods effective in ensuring the processing speed and accuracy. |
