The Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" and Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement on May 8.

The joint statement went on:

President Kim Il Sung performed immortal exploits on behalf of the era and history, holding aloft the banner of independence.

He was a prominent leader, peerless patriot and great revolutionary who glorified the 20th century as an era of victory of the cause of independence against imperialism and socialist cause, enjoying absolute support and trust from the Korean people and other progressives of the world for his outstanding idea, leadership and noble virtues.

The 20th century was a century which shined with his immortal exploits and personality as a great man both in name and reality.

The Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" and Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea fully support the appeal sent by the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea to the organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in different countries in the run-up to the 20th anniversary of demise of the President.

We will extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause of building a thriving nation and achieving the reunification of the country true to the behests of the President and leader Kim Jong Il under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
