Born in Milyang City, South Kyongsang Province during the military occupation of the Japanese imperialism over Korea, he worked as an official of a branch of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) formed by President Kim Il Sung for a long time in the post-war period, making positive efforts for the prosperity of homeland.

He left capitalist Japan before he came to the DPRK led by leader Kim Jong Il.

He has a balanced diet. He sees newspapers and tends flowerpots everyday.

He is asking his descendents to work much more for grateful socialist homeland.
