Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in an article in this regard:

Japan is getting frantic with its moves to revive militarism, far from making apology and reparation for the past crimes it committed by forcing colonial slavery upon Asian countries and bringing them all sorts of misfortune and pain. This would be unthinkable without the instigation by its senior ally, the article notes, and goes on:

During his recent Asian trip, U.S. President Obama expressed formal support to Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense."

Lurking behind this U.S. behavior in utter disregard of the world public is a sinister intention. It seeks to use Japan as a shock brigade in maintaining its military edge in the Asia-Pacific region and containing the powers in the region in a bid to meet its strategic interests.

But the crafty Japanese reactionaries do not want to play the role of a water carrier only for their senior ally.

The U.S. may get a serious trouble while pursuing its immediate interests by short-sighted way of thinking.

It is the Japanese militarists imbued with revanchism who are crying out for "settling accounts" with the U.S. any time, asserting they can never forget its drop of A-bombs on their land.

The U.S. tries hard to put Japan under its control with "nuclear umbrella" but it is as clear as noonday that sly Japan with long-held grudge against it would take revenge on Washington any time.

The U.S. would be well advised not to forget the lesson taught by the Pearl Harbor incident in which it was hit hard on its head while conniving at and patronizing the Japanese imperialists' moves for military expansion and overseas aggression.
