S. Korean Authorities Are to Blame for Ferry Sewol Sinking Accident

| Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- Overseas south Korean university professors and scholars in a joint statement Tuesday urged the south Korean authorities to bear responsibility for the ferry Sewol sinking accident, according to south Korean KBS. The statement charged that the sinking disaster was caused by the "government's" incompetence and irresponsibility. It said that the accident brought to light the general irregularities and corruption of the south Korean society. It demanded the south Korean authorities take positive measures including compensation for the victims. |
