Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard:

This is a vicious politically-motivated terrorist act aimed to obliterate Chongryon and an unethical crime of hooligans bereft of even elementary humanity.

We cannot but take a serious note of the fact that the Japanese reactionaries perpetrated such suppression ahead of the 23rd Congress of Chongryon.

It is by no means fortuitous that on the day when the search was made, the Tokyo High Court turned down an appeal presented by Chongryon as regards the decision made by the Tokyo District Court to allow the sale of the Korean Hall of Chongryon.

Lurking behind this is the Japanese reactionaries' cunning intention to tarnish the image of Chongryon and hush up the protest at home and abroad as regards the issue of the Korean Hall.

All facts prove that recent racket is a deliberate and premeditated provocation and the Japanese reactionaries' moves to obliterate Chongryon have reached a very reckless stage.

Explicitly speaking, it is the legal obligation and moral responsibility of the Japanese government to ensure the activities of Chongryon and protect the human rights and life of the Koreans in Japan.

The prospect of the relations between the DPRK and Japan rests on it.

We will closely follow future behavior of the Japanese authorities.
