Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean paper Hankuk Ilbo on May 16 carried an editorial disclosing the aggressive nature of Japan's exercise of the right to collective self-defense. The editorial said; Japan officially clarified its stand to exercise the right to collective self-defense, an indication that it would become a state which can fight a war contrary to its Pacifist Constitution. Japan is working hard to exercise the right to collective self-defense under the pretexts of Japan "Self-Defense Forces'" escorts of U.S. warships transporting Japanese in case of emergency on the Korean peninsula, reaction to the attack targeting U.S. warships in the open sea and intercept of ballistic missiles toward the U.S. Japan is seeking to invade other countries by the same force of arms as it did in the past. No one knows what extent the role of SDF will reach in case of contingency on the Korean peninsula, the editorial said. |
