The declaration said the present "government's" irresponsibility and incompetency caused the ferry Sewol disaster.

It went on:

We can never remain a passive onlooker to the corrupt social structure which meets the interests of those in power only while shelving the security of the people.

Right after her election Park Geun Hye played a trick of turning the Ministry of Administration and Security into that of Security and Administration, touting a sort of security but she has so far concentrated all forces for the security of the "government", appointed her close confidants to important posts and taken the lead in pushing forward the privatization, threatening the people's right to existence.

The recent tragedy clearly proved that Park has no capability to protect the people from disaster.

On the whole, Park, head of the irresponsible, incompetent and illegal regime, has to step down immediately.
