|
|
Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The measure committee of families of the victims, those missing and survivors of the ferry Sewol sinking accident in south Korea in a statement on May 16 demanded the puppet authorities thoroughly probe the truth behind the accident. The statement said that one month has passed since the ferry disaster occurred but no progress has been made to rescue those missing. It charged that there were many debates on the disaster in the "government" and the "National Assembly" but no progress was made and media are still making false reports. It noted that the wailing of the families calling those missing is still heard from Phaengmok Port and gymnasium on Jin Island. It stressed that the probe into the truth behind the disaster should not be confined to punishment of those responsible for it or some measures to cope with disasters but thoroughly be made in full reflection of the voices of the families of the victims. |
