The Communist Party of Germany entirely supports the appeal to various communist and workers' parties and other progressive parties and people in the world which was adopted at the 18th seminar of world political parties on building a new society, the statement said.

It recalled that the participants in the seminar unanimously supported the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people in their struggle for foiling the moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK, ensuring peace and security on the Korean peninsula and achieving the independent reunification of the country under the uplifted banner of independence and Songun.

All the successes made by socialist Korea would be unthinkable without President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the great sons of the Korean people, it added.

The Communist Party of Germany, in response to the appeal, decided to hold various political and cultural events and introduce and disseminate the greatness of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of demise of Kim Il Sung and the 3rd anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.
