S. Korean Newspaper Calls for Bringing Park Geun Hye to Account with Respect for Ferry Sewol Sinking Accident
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore in an editorial on May 22 called for bringing Park Geun Hye to account for the ferry Sewol sinking disaster.

The editorial said the "National Assembly" on May 21 referred a letter of request for the investigation into the state policy over the Sewol tragedy to its full-dress session.

The letter said Chongwadae was included in the list of investigation but Park Geun Hye was not included.

This is because the "Saenuri Party" strongly declined the demand of the opposition party, citing such reason that "there is no precedent in which the incumbent president was included in the investigation into the state policy".

The investigation into the incompetency and irresponsibility of the "government" manifested in the course of putting the Sewol disaster under control is the demand of the people and the urgent demand of the families of the victims.

But the "Saenuri Party" was only keen on defending the "president" from the beginning.

Everybody knows that this is not just the intention of the "Saenuri Party" but the will of Park and Chongwadae.

It is completely wrong that Park who is chiefly to blame for the tragedy was excluded from the list of investigation, the editorial said, stressing that it would be proper for Park to become the target of investigation of her own accord.
