Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Different kinds of Korean traditional men's costumes have been put on display at the traditional costume exhibition of the Korean Folklore Museum in the Pyongyang Folklore Park, drawing more visitors. Among the exhibits are commoners' jackets and trousers, generals' uniforms, armors and others, which date back to the periods of Koguryo Kingdom (B.C. 277-A.D. 668), Koryo Kingdom (918-1392) and Feudal Joson Dynasty (1392-1910). The visitors are deeply impressed to see the wax replica of Ri Sun Sin (1545-1598), a famous patriotic general, in a military uniform. Ri Mi Hwa, chief of the Traditional Costume Workshop in the museum, told KCNA that those men's costumes on display give a glimpse of the history of development of national costumes. |
