The 7-day course, held divided into theoretical and practical sections, dealt with the trend of the development in field hockey techniques and new rules under application at international games, etc.

It also dealt with such practical issues as means and methods of education and training for the enhancement of top players' ability, passing and dribbling techniques, efficient teamwork and promotion of the two and three men-pass ability.

The course served as an occasion to improve the qualification of coaches.
