Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" and chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize multifarious events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his demise.
