It was presented by Jong Su Ryon, a teacher, and An Un Ok, a student, of Pyongyang University of Architecture.

Jong and An have exerted themselves to produce peculiar layout, true to the instruction on developing the furniture designing supreme leader Kim Jong Un gave in his letter to the participants in the great workshop of officials in the construction field in December last year.

They focused their attention on applying the traditional Korean ornamental techniques to furniture design and preparing Korean-style furniture layout suitable to the people's tastes and cultural and emotional demands.

In the layout they ensured utility and formative influence by introducing mother-of-pearl lacquering and other Korean-style ornamental techniques.
