Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- Figures of Bangladesh and Myanmar released statements on May 25 and 28 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, said: Kim Jong Il made a great contribution to the cause of party building while leading the WPK for nearly half a century after he started work at the WPK Central Committee. He saw to it that the WPK developed with the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung as the only guidelines. As the WPK was led by him, it could become a strong party with the steadfast independent stand, unfazed by all storms and trials of history. Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said: Kim Jong Il wisely led the party, army and people of the DPRK with his outstanding idea, energetic leadership and noble traits for decades, performing immortal exploits on behalf of the era and history. His extraordinary exploit is that he successfully settled the issue of succession to the leadership with noble sense of duty for the destiny of the country and people and the future of revolution. That's why the Korean people are holding him in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the WPK. |
