Kim Jong Il developed in depth the immortal Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and built the WPK into an ever-victorious party which firmly holds high the banner of socialism, setting an example for building a revolutionary party, the statement said, and went on:

He made sure that the WPK led the revolution and construction to victory, frustrating the anti-socialist, anti-DPRK moves of the U.S. imperialists and their stooges under the unfurled banner of Songun for nearly half a century since he started work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19, 1964.

It is quite natural that the exploits he performed in party building and his Songun leadership are recognized and praised by the world.

We extend invariable support and solidarity to the WPK and the Korean people who are holding him in high esteem as the eternal general secretary of the WPK and struggling for the victory of the socialist cause, the cause of independence against imperialism under the outstanding leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
