The movement has developed into an international movement involving a lot of population and countries of the world. It markedly changed the relations of forces between progressives and reactionaries and greatly encouraged the cause of making the whole world independent.

In order to realize its pivot to Asia-Pacific strategy based on the policy of strength, the U.S. is tapping all the military potentials and resorting to the high-handed and arbitrary practices and interference in the internal affairs of countries in Europe, Mideast, Latin America and Africa.

The U.S. military threat has steadily increased on the Korean peninsula, resulting in an unstable situation which is neither war nor peace.

Frantic war racket and hideous provocations committed by south Korea against the DPRK have gone beyond the tolerance limit and reached a dangerous phase that can no longer be overlooked.

The situation calls upon the member nations of NAM to increase their role and strengthen joint actions based on their unity and solidarity in order to smash the evermore undisguised moves of the imperialists and defend sovereignty of countries and nations and regional peace and security.

Respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in others' internal affairs are the principles to be invariably adhered to by the movement that aspires after an independent and peaceful new world.

The DPRK, as a member nation of NAM, has made consistent efforts to develop the movement in conformity with the purpose of its founding and the principles of its activities in the idea of independence, peace and friendship-the idea of its foreign policy.

The DPRK will as ever make all efforts to invariably preserve the noble idea and principles of the movement and develop it, the article stresses.
