KCNA Commentary Blasts S. Korean Authorities' Plot to Cook up "North Wind"

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The Park Geun Hye group of south Korea in the grip of the worst ruling crisis in the wake of the ferry Sewol disaster is making last-ditch efforts to get rid of it by cooking up "north wind". At a time when the south Korean people are becoming evermore angry due to the Sewol disaster, the south Korean authorities are making desperate efforts to cook up "north wind" such as fiction about "nuclear test in April", "possible provocation of a local war" and "drones from the north". This is part of the sinister political plot to put the situation in the wake of the ferry disaster under control. They have become more frantic in confrontation ruckus since they announced the provocative war scenario against the north called "five-phase military strategy towards the north," in particular. They let military hooligans to unhesitatingly perpetrate such grave military provocation as firing shells at DPRK warships on routine guard duty and Chinese fishing boats in the waters off the five islands on the West Sea of Korea, the biggest hotspot. The conservative groups including the "Saenuri Party" perpetrated such hideous provocation as groundlessly hurting the dignified system of the DPRK, claiming that the north abuses the Sewol disaster "for a political purpose" and "creates discord in the south by intensifying agitation against it." They are, at the same time, wooing conservative media into misleading the public opinion to fabricate "north wind". The authorities responsible for making hundreds of passengers including schoolchildren buried at seabed are working hard to evade the responsibility for the tragedy and suppress protesters, far from making sincere apology and repentance for it. They have gone the lengths of perpetrating such thrice-cursed crime as linking even bereaved families to "north wind." The provocative racket kicked up by the Park Geun Hye group against the DPRK with military gangsters and conservative forces involved are nothing but the last-ditch efforts made by those driven into a pretty fix. Forsaken by the people due to its unpopular policy, the Park group is now finding itself in a bottomless quagmire due to the ferry disaster. The south Korean people from all walks of life are now becoming evermore vocal demanding the "resignation of Park Geun Hye." The Park group in the grip of the daily worsening ruling crisis is now seeking a way out of it in intensifying anti-DPRK conspiratorial and confrontation racket. "North wind" much touted by the group is a trite method it employs whenever its ruling crisis gets serious. Its "north wind" ruckus is as foolish an act as precipitating its self-destruction. It is too late for the Park group to save its miserable fate already sealed. |
