The paper said:

The publication of the historic June 15 joint declaration made it possible for the north and the south of Korea to aspire after reconciliation, unity and reunification based on the commonality that they are one and the same nation despite the differing ideology and social systems and confrontation, mistrust, jealousy and antagonism that persisted between them.

After the adoption of the declaration, dialogues and working-level contacts took place in various fields between the north and the south.

Joint agreements were reached from the stand of prioritizing the desire and interests of the fellow countrymen, thus promoting the national unity, cooperation and exchanges and bringing about reunification-oriented fruitions.

But the present south Korean conservative authorities have totally denied the June 15 joint declaration from the first days of office, hamstrung the efforts for implementing cooperation projects between the north and the south, a valuable fruit brought about by the June 15 era of reunification, and bred plots against the north one after another. This led to a confrontational phase.

To affirm June 15 is to stand for reunification and to deny it is to stand for division and war. It is truth acknowledged by not only the Korean nation but the rest of the world.

The Korean people will surely build a reunified thriving nation singing loudly the song "Reunification June 15".
