DPRK's Advanced Disinfecting Water Equipment Gains Popularity
Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- A new kind of advanced disinfecting water equipment, developed by the State Nano-technology Bureau in the DPRK, has gained popularity at home and abroad.

The equipment has already been introduced to depositing reservoirs, swimming pools and baths, including the Changgwang Health Complex and the Munsu Water Park, as well as foodstuff factories in the country.

It makes antiseptic solution mixed with ozone, activated chlorine, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite by electrolyzing water with 0.3-0.5 percent of salt.

A liter of the solution can sterilize 800 to 1,000 liters of water. This solution is tens of times stronger than liquid chlorine and bleaching powder in sterilizing power, and it is efficacious for skin diseases, eczema, women's diseases and burns.

The solution reaches water quality indexes recommended by the World Health Organization.

The disinfecting water equipment of different sizes has been exported to foreign countries, including Mongolia, Syria, Uganda and Peru.
