Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Many schoolchildren of the DPRK are now enjoying themselves at the Songdowon International Children's Camp, remodeled under the warm care of supreme leader Kim Jong Un, and other camps across the country. In this regard, KCNA had interviews with some campers and staff at different children's camps. Kim Ki Bo, director of the Mangyongdae Children's Camp, said: At present, hundreds of schoolchildren lead a camping life here, training their body and mind. Most of them like to go boating and collecting plants. On June 6, the birthday of the Korean Children's Union, the campers climbed the peak of Tae Hill according to the schedule, during which they set up tents and cooked by themselves. They are recording their pleasant camping days on photos and diaries. Ri Jong Im, a student of Ponghwa Junior Secondary School in Pothonggang District of Pyongyang, said at the Sokam Children's Camp: I came first both in mountaineering and cooking. The dishes I cooked were not much delicious than those my mum would do, but I relished them with my friends. Camping here is so enjoyable that I want to stay here longer. O Song Chol, a swimming instructor of the Songdowon International Children's Camp, said: The campers are very fond of learning swimming at this splendidly-built gymnasium. Whenever seeing their happy looks, I feel deep gratitude to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un for having turned the camp into a luxurious palace for the children. |
