Service Personnel Tour Area of Taehongdan
Taehongdan, June 10 (KCNA) -- The group of service personnel of the Korean People's Army for the study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu toured the area of Taehongdan.

The group left Samjiyon on June 8 and marched along the Kapsan-Musan guard road, recalling the superb strategy and matchless pluck of President Kim Il Sung.

The members of the group looked round a monument to the poem dedicated to the revolutionary history of leader Kim Jong Il who forced his way through the snowdrifts in the van in February Juche 88 (1999). The monument stands at the fork to Mt. Paektu.

They held a question-and-answer contest while marching the way the anti-Japanese guerrillas did. At Mubong Senior Secondary School in Samjiyon County, they handed over school things, sports apparatuses, etc. to it.

They toured the revolutionary battle site in Taehongdan on June 9.

They put a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of Kim Il Sung at the Monument to the Victorious Battles in Musan Area and paid tribute to him. Then they went round the tower of a rifle, a large group of sculptures of subsidiary theme, etc.

Before the monument they had a meeting to explain the greatness of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu.

The speakers praised the brilliant military insight and the outstanding commanding art with which Kim Il Sung led to victory the operation for advancing into the area of Musan and the spirit of devotedly defending the leader displayed by anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and her ardent patriotism.

The group also toured the revolutionary battle site in Sinsadong.

On June 10, the members of the group met with discharged soldiers active on the Hongam Farm in Taehongdan County.

They exchanged greetings with ex-soldiers and their wives and other agricultural workers who are bringing about a signal boost in the potato production in the Paektu plateau in the revolutionary soldier spirit.

They played sports games with ex-soldiers in Taehongdan and helped them in their work.

They are accelerating their march towards Mt. Paektu.
