Rosanita Campos, vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, was elected chairperson of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to hold political and cultural events including seminar, photo exhibition and film show to praise the revolutionary career of the President and his exploits in the period between June 7 and July 8.
