June 15 North-South Joint Declaration Favored by Personages of Indonesia, Myanmar

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Personages of Indonesia and Myanmar released statements on June 4 and 9 on the occasions of the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 14th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, said that all the miraculous successes achieved in the DPRK would be unthinkable without the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

He went on:

We highly praise the great exploits performed by HE Kim Jong Il for the development of the party, the state and the army.

We, fully supporting the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, are convinced that Korea would be reunified independently and peacefully in the spirit of the declaration.

The director-general of a publishing house of Myanmar noted:

HE Kim Jong Il who regarded national reunification as his lifelong mission formulated the proposals for reunification set forth by President Kim Il Sung as the three charters for national reunification and aroused all the Korean people to the drive to implementing them.

He said that the north-south summits were provided in 2000 and 2007 and the bright future of Korea's reunification was opened by the adoption of the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration thanks to the ardent patriotism and broad magnanimity of Kim Jong Il.
