There took place the first trial of the captain and 15 crewmen of the ferry Sewol at the Kwangju District Court on June 10.

The captain and the crewmen were put in custody and indicted on the charges of murder, etc. as they took to flight to survive, instead of taking measures for rescuing passengers when the accident occurred on April 16.

However, they denied the suspicion about murder, shamelessly claiming they had no responsibility for the death of passengers.

At the trial bereaved families declared had the ferry made even a single proper broadcasting calling for escape and had the captain and the crewman guided the passengers the moment they were going to escape from it, children would have been saved.

They angrily questioned the captain and the crewmen if their acts of taking to flight to survive, leaving the passengers behind, are not a murder, then what is it?
