Invited to it were Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

Present there were So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned, and teachers and students of the school.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Speakers said that over the past 55 years Mao Zedong Class has conducted exchange activities with Kim Il Sung Class of Beijing Middle School No. 5 of China and deepened the feelings of friendship between the students of the two countries.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of establishment of the DPRK-China diplomatic relations, they said, expressing belief that the friendly relations between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Mao Zedong.

Then the participants looked round various places of the school conducive to training reserve talents of the country before enjoying an art performance given by students.

Staff members of the Chinese embassy donated education equipment to the school that day.
