The archery matches started on June 11. They brought together the defense sports team of the Korean People's Army, Amnokgang defense sports team, Suyangsan sports team, Songaksan sports team and sports teams of the February 8 Vinalon Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex.

The final matches were played between groups A and B of the KPA defense sports team and group A of the Amnokgang defense sports team, divided into men and women team events, mixed team events and men's and women's individual events.

The players fully showed their techniques cultivated in their day-to-day training.

Players of group A of the KPA defense sports team won the men and women team events, players of group A of the KPA defense sports team placed first at the mixed team events and Jon Chol and Kang Un Ju of the KPA defense sports team came first at the men's and women's individual matches.
