Otete Gaston Mboyo, deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the DR Congo who doubles as chairman of the DR Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, said this at an inaugural ceremony of the DR Congo committee for remembering the President held in Kinshasa on June 12.

He said:

The people of many African countries achieved national independence, shaking off the yoke of colonial slavery as the President founded the Juche idea centered on the popular masses and brightly indicated the road ahead of humankind.

The President rendered material and moral support to the African people struggling to build a new society.

He has been highly praised by the Korean people and progressive humankind as the benevolent father of the people.
