The prize awarding ceremony took place in Qingdao, Shandong Province of China on June 16.

The diploma was conveyed to the head of a delegation of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee by the general supervisor of the organizational committee of the international flower competition of Expo at the ceremony.

Kimjongilia was awarded the special prize, displaying once again its honor as world famous flower, the general supervisor said, and went on:

Many visitors admired Kimjongilia. Kimjongilia on display made the international competition in potted flowers progress apace and the grade of the expo was further raised.

The deputy secretary general of the China Flower Association said:

I was captivated by the beauty and elegance of Kimjongilia. Kimjongilia won the special prize of the international competition in potted flowers after Kimilsungia received a gold prize at the international orchid competition in May last. So it has been clearly proved that these flowers are world famous flowers.
