New Species of Seedless Sweet Grape Bred in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- The Pomology Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science in the DPRK has succeeded in breeding a new species of seedless sweet grape. The new species is highly resistant to plant diseases and cold weather. Its cultivation needs less labor force and agrochemicals than the existing ones and its output per hectare is 1.1 times higher than them. One cluster of grapes weighs 290 grams on an average and 340 grams to the maximum. The grape won a national inventions certificate. |
