The prime minister said that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries have been invariably consolidated by President Bashar Al-Assad and Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people.

He extended his sincerest thanks to Kim Jong Un, noting that the visit of the delegation is a clear proof of the friendly relations between the two countries established in the struggle against the common enemy.

He wished Kim Jong Un good health and greater success in his responsible work leading the DPRK.

Talks between Ri Su Yong, minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK who is heading the DPRK government delegation, and Deputy Prime Minister of Syria Walid Al-Muallem who doubles as minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates were held on the same day.
