Ultra-Rightist Conservative Accused of Writing Book Justifying Sexual Slavery

Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- A book insulting victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and justifying the crimes related to it came off the press in south Korea, stunning the people of different social standings, said the south Korean internet paper Voice of People. The book written by a professor at Sejong University who is an ultra-rightist conservative was published in August last year. On June 16, victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army came out for a legal action against the author and the publishing house. They condemned the author for defaming the victims of the sexual slavery and inflicting mental pain upon them. On the day, they filed a suit in the court against the author and the publishing house claiming damages on charge of libel. |
