At the instruction of King Norodom Sihamoni, Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister in charge of the Royal Palace, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to widely introduce the revolutionary career of the President and his exploits through media and hold political and cultural events in the period between June 16 and July 15.
