Kim in his message extended warm congratulations to heads of state and government and delegates to the assembly on behalf of the DPRK government.

He expressed belief that shining success would be made in the assembly to discuss and decide on the practical issues arising in achieving peace, security and socio-economic development on the continent with "Agriculture and food security in Africa" as its main agenda thanks to high enthusiasm of all participants.

Reiterating the DPRK's firm stand to steadily boost the friendly and cooperative relations with the African Union and its member states, the message sincerely hoped that the assembly would serve as an important occasion in promoting the prosperity and steady development of Africa.
