Officials and Members of DWUK Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt. Paektu

Hyesan, June 23 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea (DWUK) across the country started the study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu. A ceremony of kicking off the study tour took place before the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo in Hyesan City, Ryanggang Province on Monday. The participants laid a floral basket and flowers before the statue of President Kim Il Sung and paid tribute to him. A report was made by Kim Myong Suk, vice-chairwoman of the Central Committee of the DWUK, at the ceremony to be followed by speeches. The reporter and speakers said that the study tour would be made on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. They called on its participants to learn from the transparent spirit of devotedly defending the leader displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters and become passionate women revolutionaries intensely loyal to Marshal Kim Jong Un. At the end of the ceremony, they started for Mt. Paektu. |
