V. V. Grishkov, first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

It decided to arrange political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and feats of the President to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his demise.
