Important Day of DPRK Marked Abroad

| Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries in the period between June 5 and 17 to mark the 50th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). They included round-table talks in Brazil, Austria and Vietnam and reading sessions in Nigeria and Angola. The vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil said that the WPK strengthened into an ever-victorious steel-strong party under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. Personages of the Vienna, 21 County Committee of the Communist Party of Austria said the exploits Kim Jong Il performed in building the WPK will always be remembered by all the Korean people. The curator of Ho Chi Minh Museum of Vietnam said Kim Jong Il performed undying exploits by leading the WPK for almost half a century. A message of greeting to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event held in Austria. |
