The Korean war between the only two-year old DPRK and the U.S. imperialists which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world and their 15 satellite countries including the south Korean puppet army was the greatest one unprecedented in history in its intensity and fierceness, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:

The U.S. imperialists thoughtlessly started the war despising the army and people of the DPRK and suffered the most disgraceful defeat in history and began to go downhill.

The historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was the brilliant victory of the unique military idea and the Juche-oriented war method of President Kim Il Sung and the victory of ardent patriotism, spirit of defending the country and indomitable fighting spirit of the army and people who turned out in the war to defend the precious motherland in hearty response to the call of the President.

Kim Il Sung victoriously led the grim war, saved the country and people from the life-and-death crisis and opened up a new era of prosperity on this land. His exploits will shine forever along with the history of the country.

Though more than six decades have passed since the ceasefire, the Korean peninsula has always been exposed to the danger of a war due to the continuous moves of the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers to ignite a war against the north, the paper stresses, calling for turning out as one in the nationwide patriotic struggle to frustrate the rackets of the U.S. and its stooges aimed to escalate confrontation with the DPRK and ignite a war against it.

Minju Joson says the Fatherland Liberation War proved that the main factor of the war victory is not numerical and technical advantages but politico-ideological advantages and strategic and tactical upper-hand of the army and people of the DPRK.
