Kaesong, June 25 (KCNA) -- A meeting of young people and students to vow to take revenge on the U.S. imperialists took place at the plaza in Kaesong City on June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists. Present there were officials concerned, young people and students in Kaesong City. Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a report to be followed by speeches. The reporter and speakers denounced the U.S. imperialists who provoked the Korean war on June 25, 1950. They went on: The U.S. imperialists hurled into the war huge aggression forces, south Korean puppet army and troops of 15 satellite countries, reduced everything in Korea to ashes and committed brutal atrocities unprecedented in the human history of wars. The army and people of the DPRK, rallied close around President Kim Il Sung, turned out to shatter the U.S. myth of being the "strongest" and displayed the mettle of heroic Korea before the world. During the Fatherland Liberation War young people and students volunteered to the front earlier than others and made great contributions to bringing earlier the V-day by fighting heroically against the aggressors and class enemies in the fierce battles. The U.S. imperialists have waged ceaseless nuclear war exercises against the DPRK, far from drawing a lesson from their graceful defeat, pushing the situation to the brink of a war. If the U.S. imperialists and their followers ignite a war at last, the army and people of the DPRK will drive the aggressors out of Korea and achieve the historic cause of national reunification, the cherished desire of the Korean nation. |
