The Teachers Union held an emergency meeting of its Central Executive Committee on June 19 at which it announced the program for all-out action against the unreasonable decision. It decided its general guidelines at the meeting of its deputies on June 21.

It held a press conference at its head office in Sodaemun District, Seoul on June 23.

At the press conference the chairman of the Teachers Union termed the deprivation of its qualification as a trade union a violence against labor and undemocratic act.

Meanwhile, chiefs of 16 city and provincial branches of the Teachers Union are waging actions to legitimize it by joining a hunger strike of its chairman.

The Solidarity for Progress in a statement on June 19 said it would together with the Teachers Union fight it out to restore the position of the union, have those dismissed reinstated and realize democratic education.

Voice of People, an internet paper, in an editorial on June 20 condemned the unreasonable decision made by the court.
