The Russian paper Nakhodkinski Rabochi on June 17 carried an article titled "Integral whole of party and army" illustrated with a photo of Kim Jong Il. The article introduced the feats he performed by leading the WPK.

The Egyptian paper Al-Misaiya said on June 18 in an article titled "Kim Jong Il, master of independent politics" that the august name of Kim Jong Il who always led the Korean people's cause of independence and the cause of global independence to victory will eternally shine in the history of world politics as the one of the master of independent politics.

The Algerian paper Al-Misaa on June 16 praised him for working heart and soul for the development of the country's musical art till the last moments of his life.

The Bulgarian paper Novo Rabotnichesko Delo in an article titled "Practicality of Juche idea" introduced in detail the advantages of Korean-style socialism centred on the popular masses to which the Juche idea is applied.
