The festival was held pursuant to an agreement reached between the Rason International Travel Company and Yanbian Jiuzhou Travel Agency in Jilin Province, China.

Its objective is to meet the demand of the tourists to enjoy a rich emotional life and to develop exchange and cooperation between the Association of Angling Fans in Rason City and the Association of Anglers in Korean Nationality Autonomous Prefecture in Yanbian, Jilin Province.

Speeches were made at the opening ceremony.

A contest of angling freshwater fish took place amid interest of fans.

Prizes were awarded after the contest.

The festival offered an important occasion for further developing tourist business between Rason City and Jilin Province.

Freshwater angling tourism is expected to be combined with sea fish angling tourism in the future.
