On this occasion the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea presented gifts to Kim Jong Il while the president of the Workers' Party of Peru presented a gift to Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the Brazilian Communist Party, the president of the Socialist Party of Benin, the general secretary of the Patriotic Movement for National Salvation of Chad and the chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association sent floral baskets and bouquets to DPRK missions in their countries while a delegation of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar and public figures of various countries paid congratulatory visits to DPRK missions.

Personages of political and public circles and organizations of various countries issued statements. They included the secretary general of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, the honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union, a vice-chairman of the Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt, the chairman of the Brazilian Committee for Remembering Leader Kim Jong Il, the chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea and the Thailand-DPRK Friendship Association.

Kimjongilia exhibitions, book, photo and fine art exhibitions, seminars and other colorful political and cultural events took place with splendor in China, Mongolia, Mexico, Benin, the UK and other countries, 350 times in all.

Meanwhile, foreign mass media gave wide publicity to the sacred career of Kim Jong Il.

They said that June 19, 1964 was a significant day when a new milestone of changes was provided in the development of the WPK and the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche and Kim Jong Il led the party and revolution to victory with his matchless political caliber.
