Scientific Successes Made in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Chaek University of Technology in the DPRK has recently made scientific achievements of economic value. The achievements include resistivity CT and other high-tech prospecting apparatuses and their interpreters, which are now paying off in practice. With the help of those scientific achievements, the Kangdong Area Coal-mining Complex found out coal deposits of tens of thousands of tons in a district, which had been regarded as an area of no coal deposit from the geological point of view. Similar results were made in coal mines in the northern part of North Phyongan Province. Meanwhile, some economic units found out geothermal water with the help of resistivity CT prospecting apparatus and the three-dimensional topographic map was introduced to the project for building stockbreeding base in Sepho area, thus economizing labor power and materials. |
