Attending it were officials of the Communist Party of Cuba, Foreign Ministry of Cuba, Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification and other masses. The DPRK ambassador to Cuba and staff members of his embassy were invited there.

Speeches were made.

The vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification said that the past Korean war was the one for aggression ignited by the U.S. imperialists.

The heroic Korean people won a brilliant victory in the war and the U.S. imperialists surrendered to the Korean people and signed the Armistice Agreement.

The Korean war was the one the Korean people won by demonstrating patriotism and dignity under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and it is teaching mankind lots of lessons as it was the war which shattered the myth of the U.S. "mightiness" and made the U.S. imperialists destined to fall like the setting sun.

We hope that Korea will be reunified independently and peacefully free from outside forces' interference.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces are to blame for the worsening situation on the Korean peninsula.

If the tension is to be defused on the Korean peninsula, the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK should be withdrawn and the Armistice Agreement be replaced by a peace agreement.
