The statement said:

The Korean war was a large-scale one for aggression ignited by the U.S. imperialists after the Second World War.

The atrocities committed by the U.S. against the Korean people during the war put the hair-raising crimes perpetrated by the Hitler fascist clique into the shade.

The U.S. reduced the land of the northern half of Korea to ashes in wanton violation of international law and unhesitatingly used germ weapons.

The army and people of the DPRK waged a heroic struggle under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by President Kim Il Sung, dealing a heavy blow at the aggressors and winning victory.

The U.S. has so far refused to sign a peace agreement with the DPRK since it surrendered to the latter 61 years ago and introduced into south Korea huge armed forces for aggression including nuclear weapons. It has staged large-scale military drills, obstructing Korea's reunification.

We condemn the U.S. imperialist policy for aggression against the DPRK.

We denounce the U.S. military pressure upon the DPRK and hope that the Korean people will achieve successes in the way chosen by them independently.
