On the basis of the unique line on founding the party after forming and expanding its basic organizations, he inaugurated the SRC, the first party organization, at Chinmyong School in Kalun, China on July 3, Juche 19 (1930).

The SRC was the embryo and seed of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK); it played a role of a parent body in forming and expanding the basic organizations of the party.

After its inauguration, a number of other basic organizations were formed in the northernmost part of Korea along the River Tuman and in many regions of Manchuria with the first homeland party organization formed in Onsong area.

When Kim Il Sung founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA), he formed the KPRA Party Committee to lead the KPRA party organizations of all levels as well as other party organizations in local areas.

On the basis of precious experiences gained in party building during the anti-Japanese armed struggle, he founded the WPK in less than two months after the country's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule (August 15, 1945).

Now the WPK has further strengthened into an invincible one under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
