Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

Also on display were works of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and books and photos introducing Songun Korea.

Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, said in his speech:

Kim Il Sung was not only the most outstanding leader and great thinker and theoretician in the 20th century but the brilliant strategist who beat down formidable enemies U.S. and Japanese imperialism in one generation.

He was the genius of creation and construction who built a socialist power on debris, though others claimed after the war that Korea would not be able to stand on its feet even in a hundred years. He was, at the same time, the father of the people as he regarded believing in people as in Heaven as his motto.

The progressive people in the UK recollect with deep emotion his noble career and undying exploits.

Balzor Singh Chauhan, chairman of the Indian Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung, said though he passed away, he was revered by progressive humankind as the eternal sun.

The DPRK is winning victories in the confrontation with the U.S. and making achievements in the building of a thriving socialist nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar in the UK.
